ELECTRICAL LICENCE - various

All employees either have an A Grade electricians licence or are indentured apprentices so everybody employed at St Kilda Electrics holds a licence to legally undertake electrical works

CONTRACTOR’S LICENCE - 8297

We have a contractor’s licence to independently contract for all electrical works

COMMUNICTAION LICENCE – TITAB AUSTRALIA – T02866

Data/Phone/Fibre Optic/NBN

We hold an “open licence” with endorsements for Structured Cabling, Optical Fibre, Coaxial and Testing. This allows us to work on communication equipment form the network boundary through to end points within the premises for both the domestic and commercially.

We can also apply for Permit Works for jobs between the Network Boundary and the Communications Pit as required where cabling needs replacing from the premises to the street in preparation for carrier hook up.

SECURITY LICENCE – Private Security Individual Registration 507-656-90S

We hold licence to install cameras, alarms and access control. Many electricians don't realize you need a licence for these works and not being properly licensed for installations can affect warranties and legal prosecutions when these steps are required.

TELEVISION - AUDIO LICENCE

Our cabling licence also allows us to install new TV points, detect issues with frequency and transmission plus audio cabling for speakers and home theatres

INTERCOM - ACCESS CONTROL LICENCE

Our licence allows us to install and repair intercoms, both single systems to a house and commercial blocks including both speech and vision set ups with gate and door release

Access control, especially in the commercial sector, has always been important for security with the limitation of access to controlled areas through door control. This is growing in the domestic sphere as well.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN & POLICE CHECKS

As we work at schools, in nursing homes and with other at risk groups we are required to have current working with children and police checks.
